The Salesman With No Product - Tuesday Praise & Pray (for others) September 29, 2026
Can we agree that the Christian walk is not for the weak? For many believers, things got difficult after they gave their lives to Christ. This happens because satan wants them to regret choosing to turn away from wickedness and sin. It wants them to backslide and walk away from God. The enemy wants believers to reject the Lord's grace, which keeps each of us walking with the Lord despite temptations to return to the way we once were.
And we need to remember that grace when things get tough. Such as those moments when you question whether you should remain a faithful believer. You know what I mean. Those times when you look at your life and wonder if you have anything to show for submitting to Jesus. After all, you see people getting what they want without caring what God's concerns are. They travel, eat at fancy restaurants, drive nice cars, and live in the best neighborhoods, while the same might not be the case for you.
If you feel like a salesman with no product, as someone once labeled this condition, you are not alone. And you are actually in good company. How do you think people looked at the life of Paul the Apostle? He roamed from city to city and was constantly beaten. He was in more than one shipwreck and had to spend nights lost at sea. Plus, he spent countless nights in confinement. He experienced hunger, thirst, and the threat of death repeatedly (2 Corinthians 11:23-37). All of this because he was an evangelist, spreading the gospel of Jesus. No other reason.
I daresay, the average person in that age looked upon him with scorn or pity. That was until they learned of the miraculous powers and spiritual wisdom he harnessed by the grace of God.
Using Paul as an example, it may be time to pay closer attention to the spiritual gifts you have received from the Lord. Paul encouraged the Corinthian believers in 1 Corinthians 1:7 - therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed. And just like the Corinthian church, you should not overlook the gifts God has blessed you with. You need to harness them in cooperation with His word and His Spirit. When you're walking with Him, these are the goodies that typically come to you first. Not the worldly blessings that everyone else can easily recognize.
God gives us spiritual gifts because they are the most important way that we display who we belong to. He can use them, through us, to attract others to Him and open the eyes of those in the dark. The spiritual gifts often determine how we carry out our divine assignment and will impact how and where we spend eternity. That word of wisdom you received about someone's situation wasn't an accident. That scripture that came to mind while discussing an issue with a friend was sent by God to encourage them. That prayer you spoke over a stranger gave them strength to keep going.
All of this was the Lord's design. His way of making you a vessel for His glory and profit. Would casual onlookers, who don't believe in the Lord, be able to pick up on this? No. They have been blinded by the god of this world, and the things of the Lord are nonsense to them (2 Corinthians 4:4). But that's alright, and their opinion should never be the yardstick by which you measure yourself. It is fine that they do not recognize what God has bestowed on you. Even certain Christians will dismiss the significance of what God planted in you, depending on where they are in their journey.
But you...you cannot ignore how God is building you. You should not dismiss your process of becoming. Proverbs 25:4 states, Remove the impurities from silver, and the sterling will be ready for the silversmith (NLT). You're in your purifying stage, and that's okay. Focus on learning the season's lessons. They will be necessary for your assignment as you continue walking with Him.
And don't forget Proverbs 23:18 - There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off. Don't give up on God and the you He is transforming you into. Be encouraged. You might seem like a salesperson with no product today, but that shall not be your tomorrow. The Lord loves this part of your journey where He is molding you for the more He has to give (Zechariah 4:10). Learn to treasure this time, for He is turning you into a capable salesperson with great 'product' who displays His splendor and wears a crown of His glory. God bless you.

LAST 10 MINUTES
You may not have figured everything out yet about the walk with God. Trust me when I say that's okay. I don't think anyone has, because every single day, the Lord is teaching His people something new.
All you need to do is put what He planted in you to work. We all have a purpose to fulfill, and it is crucial to find out what the Lord wants to achieve with our lives.
It is easy to have our ideas and then plug God into it. However, the key is to start from His plan for us and let Him teach us how to fully align with His will in the execution of His plan for our lives.
Thank You, Heavenly Father. Your power knows no bounds, Creator of the heavens, the earth, the seas, and all that are within them (Acts 4:24).

Lord, the devil pretends to be an angel of light and peddles lies to deceive and disappoint Your children.
But I thank You for being the God who cannot lie (Titus 1:2). You are true and steadfast. The God who revealed from the beginning what would come (Isaiah 41:26-27).
And so I pray for Peppers that every false doctrine they believe loses its grip on them, IJMN Amen. I pray that the lies of satan be uprooted now because You, Lord, did not plant them in these ones (Matthew 15:13).
Every lie causing them to have imposter syndrome, to desire to self-harm, to have unnatural animosity with others, to be rebellious to Your word, all fall apart now, IJN Amen.
