God's Promise, Faith & Hope - Friday Praise & Pray (for others) November 6, 2026
Romans 4:16 highlights an element necessary for a Christian to step into God's promise. And that element is faith. Romans 4:16 - Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham’s offspring—not only to those who are of the law but also to those who have the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all.
Now, we've previously learned via Hebrews 11:1 that faith and hope are a packaged team. Hebrews 11:1 - To have faith is to be sure of the things we hope for, to be certain of the things we cannot see (GNT). This highlights that one can't exist in a person without the other. Thus, for faith to propel a believer into the promise, that person also needs to have hope - a confident expectation that God's word will come to pass.
Is there something in the Bible you've latched on to? A scripture that has encouraged you and given you hope for your present and your future? Or maybe the verse has galvanized your anticipation for someone else? Whatever the case, remember that God's word will achieve the purpose for which it was dispatched. It will come to pass. So, don't let go of your hope in that verse. Hold on to it. Keep walking in God's light, applying His word, and allowing it to transform you so you become more righteous.

Since God's promises come by faith, you have to believe in what you don't yet see and can't even envision the steps it will take to get there. But because it is God's word, you can be assured that it will come to pass (Isaiah 55:11). Note, though, that this will only be the case if your faith and hope are based on God's word. Not a lie or the misapplication or misunderstanding of the word. If the latter is the case, it is God's obligation to ensure that such 'faith' and 'hope' are not fulfilled.
As a good Father, it is His responsibility to protect His children from satan's lies and the untruths that have been weaponized to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Thus, if you believed or hoped in something that didn't happen, it is possible God spared you from the counterfeit sent for the devil's schemes. To avoid the enemy's lies from becoming fact, always study the Bible with God's guidance. Call on the Holy Spirit to teach you what you need to know. Remember Jesus had to open the minds of people to scripture - He had to help them understand the true meaning of the words written (Luke 24:45).
We still need that help today. And we should always ask for it. The Bible tells us that when we ask, we will receive (Matthew 7:7). Surely, God will not deprive us of His insight into His own word, right? So pray with boldness to receive wisdom about His word. Take hold of what you receive as you study, and trust that the promises contained will surely come forth in your life and the lives of your prayer subjects because it is by faith that the promise comes. God bless you.

It is time to repent and return to the Lord. It is time to commit yourself to living by His word and submit to having Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
Look, the video below will do a better job explaining things than I can, and it's only 8 minutes long. Yup, there are no cliff notes, please just watch.
If you watched the video to the end and said the prayer at the end,…
