Listen to God... - Tuesday Praise & Pray (for others) November 24, 2020

Praise the Living Lord!

As we prepare for Thanksgiving and countdown to the end of the Roman-calendar year, let us take the following scripture into consideration -

Hebrews 3:15-16 - As has just been said: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion.” 16 Who were they who heard and rebelled? Were they not all those Moses led out of Egypt?

How many times have we stopped to ask the Lord what HE wants us to do in a situation? How many times in a day do we slow down to seek and hear what the Holy Spirit instructs? When we read our Bible, do we note the differences between what the Word of God instructs and what we normally do?

Let us seek and receive the Lord's instruction, not hardening our heart to His voice and the precepts He gives us. God gains nothing from us but we gain everything from Him. Therefore, let us obey Him so we start/continue to walk the path He ordained for us instead of the walkway we selected for ourselves.

Remember, He works all things out for the good of those who love Him and have been called for His purpose (Romans 8:28). Believe Him. Allow yourself be called to His purpose today - read your Bible and learn, listen to some worship music, pick a prayer point (concerning yourself or others), and lift your hands up to Him. The Lord will be pleased you gave Him the reverence He deserves.

And, if you're free at noon EST, set aside an hour to join Praise & Pray (for others). We'll glorify God for 25 minutes (He has instructed us to praise Him continually - Psalm 50:23), pray for other people for 25 minutes (He has instructed us to pray for His children - Ephesians 6:18), then spend our last 10 minutes however the Holy Spirit guides (He instructed we not grieve but obey the Holy Spirit - John 14:15).

Come fellowship with us and may the good Lord bless you in the process for opening your heart to His leading.
