God's Banquet - Tuesday Praise & Pray (for others) May 5, 2020

May is here and just like that, we're almost halfway through the year. None of us can deny that 2020 has been a year like no other in our lifetime. Right now, some of us are still cooped up at home because quarantine is still in effect. Others are out because quarantine has been lifted and they seek a return to normalcy.

Is life as normal possible for you?

I want you to ask yourself this question - Have I done the necessary things and made the necessary choices to earn a spot at God's banquet table this year? It's an uncomfortable question to face with honesty because we are human and thereby imperfect. As such, each of us will find a lot of things we should have done better in honor of the Most High God.

And when we do find these imperfections, do we plan to ignore them or do something about them? Will we just go back to life as normal?

It is better to make a change and make it now. All of us still have time to make the right choices, to do the right things, and say the right things to please God and earn a seat at His table. He is a forgiving Father and He doesn't want us to fail. Instead, He wants us to ace every test we face with flying colors.

All we have to do is obey Him at every opportunity. We can do that by reading our Bible, doing the things that please the Holy Spirit. These include fasting, tithing, praying and giving praise.

It's another Tuesday, and therefore, another chance to praise the Lord and pray for others. I hope you will join me today in elevating the name of God and also planting seeds of blessings into the lives of others.
