George Floyd is just one of countless men and women who have been oppressed and murdered due to the color of their skin. Only an animal would neither care about the plight of such victims nor worry about the possibility of such senseless violence happening to others. One thing I know is - my God cares! And He has said in 2 Chronicles 7:14 - if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Also in 2 Chronicles 30:9, we are told - “For if you return to the LORD, your relatives and your children will be treated mercifully by their captors, and they will be able to return to this land. For the LORD your God is gracious and merciful. If you return to him, he will not continue to turn his face from you.” (NLT) In light of the chaos the world faces, I remember to stay close to God. He is my peace. The source of my confidence that His grace covers my loved ones and I - as long as we stay close to Him. That promise is as true for you as it is for me. And as we deepen in our relationship with Him, our spiritual gifts awaken, making us the perfect people to change the world one word of faith and praise at a time. We become strong intercessors who bring about God's promise to heal the land. Please join me in today's Praise and Pray session. Despite the uncertainty and sadness of this period, there is plenty to be thankful for. Let us honor the Lord so when we get to praying for others, His ears are wide open to hear and answer. Let us please Him so He can't say no to our requests for the world and those in it. God bless you, and see you at noon EST.
