Double Restoration & Prisoners of Hope - Friday Praise & Pray (for others) October 30, 2026

A lot of us are praying for restoration. And likely many more than that are asking God for double restoration. But do you know that you need to have hope to receive double restoration?

In a world where darkness and disappointment pervade, it can be very hard to be hopeful. We've all experienced difficulties and watched our childlike expectations and sense of anticipation be dashed to pieces by people or life's circumstances.

And yet, the word of God is clear. Zechariah 9:12 - Return to your fortress, you prisoners of hope; even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you. This scripture reveals that there is a direct line between our ability to have hope and the receipt of God's double restoration promise.

Notice that the people in this verse are called "prisoners of hope"? As believers in Christ, we must become prisoners of hope - those…

ALTAR CALL

If you are yet to give your life to Christ, don't let this moment go by without doing so. And if you've backslidden and are living as you like instead of how God wants you to, now is the time to recommit.

It is time to repent and return to the Lord. It is time to commit yourself to living by His word and submit to having Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

Look, the video below will do a better job explaining things than I can, and it's only 8 minutes long. Yup, there are no cliff notes, please just watch.

If you watched the video to the end and said the prayer at the end, then welcome to being a child of God! You are now a born-again Christian! I pray you receive the Holy Spirit and are led in the ways of the Lord. Send me a message letting me know you said the prayer. I'll send you more materials so you can grow as a new creature, washed clean and restored.

Regardless, please make prayer a regular part of your life. It is simply you talking to the Lord. Also, please start reading the Bible and ask God to make it come alive for you. It holds all the answers you need. You can start by reading the Epistle of John, the Book of Acts, and the Book of Romans. Get water baptized as quickly as you can and ask God to lead you to a church of His choosing.

Congrats and God bless you!

Hope Defined - Tuesday Praise & Pray (for others) October 27, 2026

What does hope mean to us Christians? And how is it supposed to function in our lives? When we have hope for something, we tend to have an optimistic expectation. We might not even know how to get that thing we are hoping for, but because we believe in God, our heart knows that somehow, someway, that thing we long for will come to pass.

When faith is defined in the Bible, we see that the word 'hope' is prominent. Hebrews 11:1 - To have faith is to be sure of the things we hope for, to be certain of the things we cannot see (GNT). As such, we cannot have faith without having hope. Also, we are told in Romans 8:24-25 - For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? / But if we hope for…

The Naaman Blessing - Friday Praise & Pray (for others) October 23, 2026

What comes to mind when you hear the name 'Naaman'? For me, I'm reminded of how pride and preconceived notions can keep a person from receiving God's blessings. But there's so much more to his story. He was the Syrian war commander who went to Israel for healing from leprosy. Elisha told him to dip seven times in the Jordan, and when he did, he was healed.

But he wasn't just healed of his leprosy. 2 Kings 5:14 - So he went down and dipped himself in the Jordan seven times, as the man of God had told him, and his flesh was restored and became clean like that of a young boy.

Keep in mind that Naaman was a grown man who'd been in multiple battles. He likely had scarred skin from direct combat. In fact, we are told that his king liked him because he was a skilled fighter. Yet,…

Why God Reveals The Future: Courage - Tuesday Praise & Pray (for others) October 20, 2026

We've previously discussed this issue of God revealing the future to His people. At that time, we learned that He tells us and/or shows what's coming to build excitement. His aim is for us to want what He wants for us - His best. He also wants us to rely on Him through prayers, fasting, and praise until we get it.

But there are additional reasons why God would reveal His plans to us. One such reason is that, no matter what else may happen, we will be reassured by His promise and hold on in expectation.

We see that Paul had to do this in the Book of Acts. He was being transported to Rome, and the journey was chaotic. He and his fellow passengers were in a horrible storm, and they dumped food and cargo in the hope of not sinking. They almost died. However, God revealed to him that he and…
