Grievances and Resentments - Tuesday Praise & Pray (for others) January 20, 2026

God has spoken repeatedly in the Bible that He does not condone His people harboring anger in their hearts. Many will point to Jesus at the Temple when, in anger, he chased the sellers away (Matthew 21:12). They will claim that if He was angry, then it is fine for them to be the same. This overlooks the fact that His anger stemmed from righteous indignation at how a place dedicated to the Lord was being treated. His reaction had nothing to do with how others treated Him, as is usually the case when the average person is angry, but how His Father was being disrespected.

When we contextualize that display of anger, we see that it would be an exaggeration to extend that incident beyond what it represents. God does not want His people angry and squabbling with one another. Sadly, we Christians often forget this, and in keeping with worldly standards,…

ALTAR CALL

No matter how blemished we are, Jesus died on the cross to erase every sin and wash us clean over and over again.

We take advantage of that great gift by acknowledging His sacrifice, proclaiming Him our Savior, and praying in His name for forgiveness of our sins

Now is your opportunity to do just that and get baptized in the Spirit (John 3:5).

So if your heart is open, plus if, as in Psalm 42:2, your soul thirsts for God and you want to appear in His presence, why don't you say the following prayer?

Lord Jesus, I am a sinner. I confess my sins right now to you. And I believe that you are the Son of God. I believe that you came, you died, you rose again, and you paid the price for my sins. Today, I accept the new life, today, I accept the Holy Spirit. Come dwell in me, make Your home in me. I will never be the same again. In Jesus's Name, Amen.

Praise God and welcome to the household of the Lord. For you have to have Jesus in you in order to have God the Father (John 14:6).

Please let the Lord transform you. He loves you as you are and welcomes you just that way, but He will change you. I'd be doing you a disservice if I didn't let you know. My recommendation is that you let Him have His way and bow to the changes He will bring your way.

Hold On To What You Have - Friday Praise & Pray (for others) January 16, 2026

Many see the Book of Revelation as terrifying. However, it is one more example of how the Lord reveals what is to come. In chapter 2, Jesus offered encouragement and warnings to believers. Such as in Revelation 2:24-25 - Now I say to the rest of you in Thyatira, to you who do not hold to her (Jezebel) teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets, ‘I will not impose any other burden on you, /except to hold on to what you have until I come.’

His audience was those who had not been seduced into spiritual adultery by the teachings of a Jezebel-like leader. The instruction raises the question of what it was that they had. In Revelation 2:19, He highlighted the things they did all because they believed in and obeyed Him - I know your deeds, your love and faith, your service and perseverance, and that you are now…

Abandon Your Preconceived Notions - Tuesday Praise & Pray (for others) January 13, 2026

When Naaman went looking for healing in Israel, he was initially disappointed. He'd come all the way from Aram (in modern-day Syria) because he'd heard that Prophet Elisha could do what the mystics and doctors in his land couldn't - heal his leprosy.

Instead of meeting Elisha, he was met by the prophet's servant, who told him to dip himself in the River Jordan seven times. Naaman did not take kindly to receiving instructions from a messenger. 2 Kings 5:11 - But Naaman went away angry and said, “I thought that he would surely come out to me and stand and call on the name of the LORD his God, wave his hand over the spot and cure me of my leprosy.

Pride kicked in and he "went off in a rage" (2 Kings 5:12). Naaman's servants appealed to his ego to get him to obey the prophet's instruction. As a result, "his flesh…

The Veiled Statement: Puzzle Pieces - Friday Praise & Pray (for others) January 9, 2026

Last year, we discussed the issue of Veiled Statements. Then, we learned that sometimes, God reveals things to us that we won't immediately understand. He might do this so that the recipient can ease into the fullness of the information being shared without fear. And when this happens, the person must be intentional to receive the additional wisdom that will bring clarity to what was revealed.

Often God uses the veiled statement approach with certain people to keep them 'hooked' and therefore focused on Him. Think about it this way. Some people are stimulated by puzzle pieces, which is why even low-tech puzzle games remain popular today. Such a person is excited to put the puzzle together, and they will patiently take their time, no matter how long, to find the right pieces and complete the task.

It should therefore be no surprise that God would give this individual a veiled…

Don't Ignore Justice & The Love Of God - Tuesday Praise & Pray (for others) January 6, 2026

I find the Pharisees to be an interesting group from the Bible. Likely because of Christ's comments on the way they lived their lives. He often deemed them hypocrites and used their practices to warn believers how not to behave.

And so, their mention in Luke 11:42 caught my attention. Jesus said, “What sorrow awaits you Pharisees! For you are careful to tithe even the tiniest income from your herb gardens, but you ignore justice and the love of God. You should tithe, yes, but do not neglect the more important thing (NLT). How ironic that although these men were faithful tithers, they neither loved the Lord nor upheld justice. As a result, their 'works,' good and scriptural as they may have been, were a waste.

How many of us are like the Pharisees? Do we give God His tithes and offerings out of habit, without actually loving Him? Oddly enough, there are…

Pray Against Willful Sin - Friday Praise & Pray (for others) January 2, 2026

God called King David a man after His heart (Acts 13:22). The Lord found him pleasing and blessed him greatly. So when someone like that prays for help to stay away from willful sins, we shouldn't ignore it. Psalm 19:13 - Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then I will be blameless innocent of great transgression.

The term 'willful' is popular among legal professionals and those in law enforcement. It means to do something intentionally or deliberately. And when tied with the word 'sin,' it means to deliberately disobey God's instructions.

Although we may not have killed, stolen, or committed adultery, we can all admit that there are sins we struggle with. Sins we commit intentionally. It could be anger, gossip, pettiness, or failing to apply self-discipline. It is possible we don't want to do these things, but as Paul said in Romans 7:15 -…

The Splendor of God - Tuesday Praise & Pray (for others) December 30, 2025

May the Lord display His splendor in you, IJMN, Amen. This is something I've been praying over myself for a long time, and as the year comes to a close, I want to speak that very word over you.

We are told in Isaiah 49:3 - He said to me, “You are my servant, Israel, in whom I will display my splendor.” God's splendor refers to His anointing, His best, His glory, His grace, His goodness, and so much more. When His splendor is on display in a person's life, others will look at them and know there is something special about them. Some will recognize that what they see in that person is not just physical but spiritual. And those who know will understand that they are witnessing the evidence of God at work in that person's life.

So again, I say, may the Lord display His splendor in you,…
